Dominio de Eguren Protocolo Tinto 1.75L

Founded by the fourth generation our family, Dominio de Eguren was conceived as a project to produce fine wines and offer them to consumers at a reasonable price. The winery is located in the municipality of Páganos in the province of Alava and uses a total of 15 vineyards spread across domains of Vinos de la Tierra and Vinos de Mesa. This winery owns brands such as Códice, Épico, Protocolo, Torre Abalde and Estratego Real. The wines of Dominio de Eguren come from a rigorous selection of vineyards controlled by our property and situated in the main wine areas in Spain, close to 700 m in altitude, ranging in age from 30-70 years and a controlled production. The area is characterized by its continental climate, influenced by the Mediterranean through the east winds, with cold winters and hot, dry summers with high luminosity. The daily high temperatures caused by winds from the west, against the coolness and humidity of the night Mediterranean breeze, produce a large thermal amplitude, which favours the synthesis of polyphenols over a long period of maturation.
