I lost my job in April of 1989. Immediately, I decided to start my own business. My wife gave me a prayer to Saint Joseph, patron saint of the worker. I said my prayer every day since I needed all the help I could get. A few months passed and we acquired a large Italian brand. The prayer was working! Business was good and we were growing. A few years later I created my own brand and named it “San Giuseppe” for St. Joseph. When I designed the label I chose the lily because St. Joseph is always pictured holding them. The biblical passage reads, “The just man shall blossom like the lily.” Over the past twenty years San Giuseppe has blossomed and continues to grow.
