A young outfit, but determined to grow, Nuraghe Crabioni combines the age-old knowledge of local wine growers with the most innovative winemaking technologies. Nuraghes are ancient stone structures built by a prehistoric civilization and now scattered throughout the Sardinian countryside. The winery names itself after a nuraghe sitting on its property at the Lu Crabioni site. The private gardens of this ancient dwelling place are, in fact, the vineyards, rising in full view of the enchanting Gulf of Asinara. Nuraghe Crabioni enjoys a privileged geographical position protected from Sardinia’s hot southerly winds and having a microclimate that is softened by sea breezes. That and a terrain which ranges from clayish-sandy to chalky and clayish-chalky soil help the vines and their fruit develop distinct characteristics.
