Some of the grapes come from the Quinta do Noval vineyard, the rest from A-rated vineyards in the heart of the Douro Valley. A part of the grape is trodden on foot in lagares, traditional stone vats of the Quinta. Another is mechanically crushed in steel vats. This mechanical pressing process was specifically designed for Noval, adapted to the requirements of our technical team. It is aged for 2 years in oak barrels and steel vats to preserve the freshness of the wine.
