Distillerie Dillon is located in Fort de France in Martinique. The company was named after Arthur Dillon (1750-1794), a soldier of Lafoyet’s army in the struggle for independence, who at age 16 became a commander. Returning from the war, he married the rich widow Louise. Having bought the estate, they began to grow sugarcane on the spot. Dillon rum uses 10 varieties of sugarcane.
